I believe in taking a client-centered, solution focused approach to counseling, where I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their challenges, strengths, weaknesses, and goals.  Over the past few years, I have learned that  Cognitive Based Therapy techniques fit my style and delivery best, resulting in obtaining goals with my clients while meeting their needs. 

Frequently Asked Questions

I am not able to provide on call mental health services,  nor am I able to provide counseling on an as needed basis throughout the day / night.  Please kindly schedule an appointment for us to meet and chat.  Help Via Chat does not provide emergency medical advice and cannot assist with clients that are actively considering suicide / or are self harming in the moment.

I am open to helping anyone at any age via chat.  If we see we are not a good fit, then I am happy to provide resources to assist in the transition to a different counselor, potentially in person or video call.  I have a wide range of experiences and education as a teacher, coach, school counselor, and licensed professional counselor outside of the school buildings in private practice.  There will be specific paperwork that has to be completed by an adult to allow for counseling services via chat to minors.

Skip the hassle of using insurance and pay easily with a card online.  Payment is due at the time of service and is only $49 for a 30 minute chat session.  No show fee is $49 unless 24 hour notice is provided.  Ongoing services will not be provided if a client fails to pay for services at the scheduled time.

Everything is done through an online platform - you can make a payment, attend your session, and book future appointments.
